This poster is not a comprehensive representation of all resources available to the MSU community, but it is a starting point to raise awareness of students, faculty, and staff about the RVSM resources available on and around campus.
Center for Survivors (formerly Sexual Assault Program) (Confidential Resource)
The Center for Survivors provides FREE and confidential individual counseling, support groups, and advocacy to MSU students who are survivors of adult sexual assault or childhood sexual abuse. There are a variety of groups for all gender identities. The 24-hour hotline and advocacy services are offered to anyone in the greater Lansing community.

Sexual Assault Healthcare Program (Confidential Resource)
The MSU Sexual Assault Healthcare Program is staffed 24/7 by specialized forensic nurses. Services are free and available to adults who have been sexually assaulted within the last 5 days.

After hours, patients can use the intercom system at the East or west entrance to the Student Services Building to be let into the building by the nurses.
MSU Safe Place (Confidential Resource)
MSU Safe Place is a program that addresses relationship violence and stalking. They are located on campus and serve students, faculty, staff, their spouses/partners and non-affiliated members in the greater Lansing Area. They provide advocacy, emergency shelter, counseling, support groups, safety planning, information and referrals to survivors of violence and their minor children. All support services are free and confidential.

EVE’s mission is to provide shelter and supportive services to domestic violence and sexual assault survivors by offering shelter, personal protection orders, and advocacy and counseling, as well as providing public awareness and community education.

Firecracker Foundation
The Firecracker Foundation honors the bravery of children who have survived sexual trauma by building a community invested in the healing of their whole being. Firecracker Foundation provides services to children and teens who have survived sexual trauma with holistic therapeutic services.
Capital Area Response Effort (Confidential Resource)
Capital Area Response Effort (CARE) is a crisis response team that works with area police departments to provide immediate crisis intervention to domestic violence survivors post-arrest and advocacy to to any survivors of domestic violence in the greater Lansing area.
CATA Night Owl Services
The Night Owl provides late night/early morning campus service at times when other CATA bus services are not running. Passengers may travel between any two locations on MSU campus. Rides are restricted to campus only.

Cyber Civil Rights Initiative is a non-profit organization that serves thousands of victims around the world and advocates for technological, social, and legal innovation to fight online abuse. The New York City Gay & Lesbian Anti-Violence Project
The NYC Anti-Violence Project offers free, bilingual (English/Spanish), 24-hour, 365-day-a-year crisis intervention hotline that is staffed by trained volunteers and professional counselor/advocates. MSU University Policy on Relationship Violence & Sexual Misconduct

MSU Investigation, Support and Resolution Department
The MSU Investigation, Support and Resolution Department investigates allegations of relationship violence, stalking, sexual misconduct, or anti discriminatory policy violations involving MSU students, faculty, and staff.
MSU Police Department
In 2014, the MSU Police Department established a Special Victims Unit (SVU) which continues to be an innovative team of sworn officers and detectives at the forefront of best practices. The Special Victims Unit investigates incidents of criminal sexual conduct, relationship violence, stalking, harassment, child abuse, vulnerable adult abuse, hate crimes, and missing persons. The officers and detectives assigned to the SVU have received specialized training in trauma-informed interviewing, including the neurobiology of trauma, and utilize a victim-centered approach during investigations.
MSU Misconduct Hotline
Michigan State University has implemented a telephone and web reporting Hotline to help maintain adherence to ethical practices. The purpose of the Hotline is to provide an anonymous method to report known or suspected misconduct for Michigan State University related to fiscal matters, conflicts of interest, employment, medical/HIPAA, research, safety, athletics, discrimination/harassment, privacy, retaliation, or any other area of legal, policy, or ethical concern not specifically listed.
The expanded Misconduct Hotline does not replace the University Reporting Protocols regarding child abuse, sexual assault or child pornography.
