Personal Empowerment Series Logo

A workshop series aimed at empowering undergraduate students to live confidently in whichever spaces, places, or situations they may exist. The Personal Empowerment Series currently offers three workshops focusing on different aspects of personal empowerment.

Physcial Skills: Participants will discuss boundaries and affirm everyone's right to their own bodily autonomy, learn strikes, kicks, and practice using these learned physical skills. This Physical Skills workshop is a partnership with the Prevention, Outreach and Education Department and the MSU Police and Public Safety Community Engagement Bureau. Learn More & Enroll Button.
Technology & Abuse: This workshop focuses on highlighting how technology can be utilized as a tool to further facilitate relationship violence and sexual misconduct. Participants will learn more about the intersection of technology and abuse, and be provided details on campus and national resources.  Learn More & Enroll Button.
Unpacking Politeness: In the Unpacking Politeness workshop, participants will discuss the role gender socialization has played in shaping verbally assertive responses to sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, and relationship violence.
