POE Anniversary Celebration

We are excited to invite you to celebrate 15 years of prevention efforts at Michigan State University and 5 years of the Prevention, Outreach and Education Department. Championing Change; Empowering the Future!

Event Details: When:  Friday, April 5th, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM (EST) 
Where: University Club (Heritage Room) 3435 Forest Rd, Lansing, MI 48910
             
Come share in the memories, achievements, and the bright future ahead as we continue our mission to educate the university community, eliminate gender-based violence, and affect positive social change.

Additional Information:

• 5:00pm: Networking & Check-In- Check-in and enjoy hors d'oeuvres while mingling with colleagues, current staff and students, and alumni.
• 5:30pm: Welcome Remarks- Executive Director of the Prevention, Outreach and Education and Vice President of the Office for Civil Rights and Title IX Education and Compliance, Laura Rugless, will offer opening remarks to kick-off the celebration.
• 6:00pm: Dinner- Plated dinner served while enjoying a musical interlude by MSU musicians.
• 6:30pm: Reflection on 15 Years of Impactful Work- Reflection on the significant achievements and milestones of the past 15 years of prevention at MSU and 5 years of the Prevention, Outreach and Education Department. Guest speakers to be announced at a later time.
• 7:00pm: Forward Horizons: Charting the Future of Prevention at MSU- During a time of celebration, we will also envision the future of the efforts to prevent gender-based violence together.
• 7:30pm: Closing Remarks- Recognizing and expressing gratitude to the key contributors who have played a pivotal role in POE’s success.
