Active BarStander is a 2-hour training that provides bystander intervention education to local bar and restaurant staff in East Lansing, Michigan. This is a free training in which staff learn about gender-based violence, how to recognize and identify signs of potentially harmful behaviors, and how to actively engage in bystander intervention in order to create a safer bar and restaurant environment for all.
Bars and restaurants that undergo this training become Certified Active BarStander venues, get featured on this page, and receive signage to promote this status.
